Why Fish?

As we come to the Lord's Table today, we remember the incredible gift of love that Jesus gave us in His death, and His amazing victory for us in His resurrection.

Today, as we gather around the Lord's Table together, we remember that Jesus really lived in history — God entered our world with a real human body and died a real human death, for us. He died to deal with our sins and was raised to make us right with God (Romans 4:25). And as we take this bread and this fruit of the vine, we touch it and taste it. It is real, tangible. We are reminded that Jesus was real, touchable, woundable, killable. And He did it ... for us!
